Earth, Wind & Fire!

No, not the band.

Jinn this time around. These were all painted last summer and are mostly older miniatures - several of which are repaints.

First up - a quartet of Jinn

Fungi from the depth!

 I spent a good part of November and December working on & off on on my collection of fantasy mushrooms, fungus & "Myconids". It let me play with a stranger array of color than my usual style of miniature painting. 

I view them as an experiment - I'm not happy with all of them by any means but it was fun.

Hook Horror

 This was part of my December painting run - the Nolzer's Hook Horror, one of my favorite monsters from the Fiend Folio.

Went with earthy browns and greys with gloss on the beak and spines/hooks.

3d Printed Ogre

 One of my pals has been perfecting his 3d printing skills - this is one of his earlier prints I I love how it came out.

I have no idea who the sculptor is - but I'm fairly happy with how he turned out.

Moloch Statue

 An iconic image from those of us who stated playing D&D with the first edition players handbook - this is a 2020 Wizkids release and I loved painting it up.

Last of the commissions: SPIDERS!!

I HATE these nasty horrible beasties - but they are fun to paint and always make horrific monsters to throw at a group dungeon delving adventurers!

These are Wizkids miniatures - they are very well detailed, and in addition to the standard black base Wizkids included some rocky terrain and a set of webbed up victims to add to the arachnid's bases.

Again - pictures are from my mobile phone - I need to do some research on taking photos of miniatures...

Owlbear

It has been a very long time since I've updated - but I've been painting a lot more recently and I'd like to get some of the work online.

This past weekend I finished some commissions from my gaming group that I thought I'd share.

First up is a rather fantastic sculpt printed on a friend's 3D printer.
I painted this one for him and he'll get a a copy for me soon.

I think it may be my favorite owlbear miniature ever, and I really enjoyed painting it.

Purple Worm!!!

And now the dreadful Purple Worm from the Dungeons & Dragons Collector Series by Gale Force Nine.

I really like the sculpts from this series - but their "collector" status makes them more expensive than I would prefer - but I could not pass this model up when I saw it.

Landsharks in the Dungeon

Ok - to start off I'll present one of the monster's I've recently completed painting.

This is the "Burrowing Horror" from Reaper's Bones line - but to me it is a Bullette, or Landshark from the Dungeons and Dragon RPG.

He's posed on some of my Dwarven Forge terrain.
